Kurt Diekhoff

Director of Sales & Marketing

As Director of Sales & Marketing for Montage Deer Valley, Kurt leads sales efforts for this year-round mountain resort.

Prior to relocating to Park City, Utah, Mr. Diekhoff was National Sales Manager at Montage Laguna Beach and handled the Midwest and the national insurance and incentive markets. He was part of the pre-opening team at Montage Laguna Beach and spent seven years in that position.

Prior to joining Montage, Mr. Diekhoff was Sales Manager for The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company and Midwest Regional Sales Manager for The Westin Resort St. John Resort and Villas in the Virgin Islands. He began his career as Sales Manager at the Hyatt Regency Kauai Resort & Spa in Hawaii. Mr. Diekhoff’s industry affiliations include The Society of Incentive & Travel Executives (SITE), Financial & Insurance Conference Planners (FICP) and Meeting Professionals International (MPI).

Bob Arrivillaga

Associate Director of Group Sales

Bob joined Montage Deer Valley as Associate Director of Group Sales and will co-lead the group sales efforts and oversee the California territory.

Prior to joining Montage, Mr. Arrivillaga was Associate Director of Sales for Paradise Point Resort & Spa in San Diego, California. Previous positions include Executive Recruiter for Searchwide and Regional Director of Sales for KSL Resorts. Mr. Arrivillaga was also part of the pre-opening sales team for the St. Regis Monarch Beach where he served four years as Director of Group Sales.

He has served on the board with Meeting Professionals International (MPI) since 2004 and is a member of The Society of Incentive and Travel Executives (SITE).

Mr. Arrivillaga received a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication from the University of Utah.

He currently resides in Park City, Utah with his wife and three children.

Catherine Hutchison

Director of Travel Industry Sales

Catherine Hutchison joined Montage Deer Valley as Director of Travel Industry Sales.

Ms. Hutchison is joining Montage Hotels & Resorts after four years with The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, most recently as Travel Industry Sales Manager with The Ritz-Carlton Bachelor Gulch in Avon, Colorado.

She started her Ritz-Carlton career as Leisure Sales Manager for both The Ritz-Carlton, Orlando and JW Marriott Orlando, Grande Lakes.

A graduate of Duke University, Ms. Hutchison received a degree in English and Psychology. She currently resides in Park City, Utah where she spends her leisure time road biking or skiing.

Martin Johnston

Director of Northeast and Insurance Sales

Martin Johnston serves as Director of Northeast and Insurance Sales for Montage Deer Valley.

In this position, Martin is responsible for managing client relationships within these markets and generating group room nights and revenue. Martin previously served as Director of Midwest and Insurance Sales for Montage Deer Valley as part of the resort’s opening team.

Most recently, Martin served as National Sales Manager for The Walt Disney Company. During his tenure with Disney, Martin earned several prestigious awards for customer and guest satisfaction scores, as well as for sales production. Martin also served as Director of National Accounts for The Ritz-Carlton Resorts of Naples (Florida) prior to joining Montage Deer Valley in 2010.

A native of England, Martin earned a degree in Travel and Tourism from Hastings University in Hastings, England, which prepared him well for his career in the resort industry.

In his leisure time Martin enjoys snowboarding, running, traveling and visiting his family in the UK.

Tracy Mullen

Director of Southeast Sales

As Director of Southeast Sales, Tracy is responsible for the group business in the Southeastern United States.

Prior to joining Montage Deer Valley, Ms. Mullen began her hotel career with the Park City Marriott where she worked as Catering Sales Manager, Conference Service Manager and Sales Manager covering the Northeast markets. From there she moved to The Canyons Resort where she worked as National Sales Manager and Director of Group Sales covering the Midwest markets. Most recently, Ms. Mullen held the position as Director of Sales for Deer Valley Lodging.

She has been a Meeting Professionals International (MPI) member since 2001 and obtained her Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designation in 2005.

A graduate of University of Utah and native to Utah, Ms. Mullen currently resides in Kamas, Utah with her husband and young daughter.

Andrew Oxton

Marketing Director

Andrew oversees marketing initiatives for Montage Deer Valley, including direct marketing and advertising outreach to local, national and international demographics in addition to communication with resort guests on behalf of the property’s various outlets.  Andrew was previously Director of Northeast Sales for Montage Deer Valley and was an integral part of the resort’s opening team. Mr. Oxton joined Montage after eight years with The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company most recently as Senior Sales Manager with The Ritz-Carlton, Bachelor Gulch in Avon, Colorado.

He started his Ritz-Carlton career at The Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay where he held positions both in Leisure and Group sales. Upon departure from Half Moon Bay he joined the pre-opening sales team for The Ritz-Carlton, Rancho Mirage where he served as the Director of Leisure Sales.

A graduate of Pepperdine University, Mr. Oxton received a degree in Public Relations and Sociology. He currently resides in Park City, Utah where he spends his leisure time skiing or mountain biking.

Riccardo Mazzini

Director of Midwest Sales

Riccardo Mazzini is Director of Midwest Sales for Montage Deer Valley. He previously spent five years in the Los Angeles market with Thompson Hotel Group as National Sales Manager based out of the Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood.

Prior to Thompson Hotel Group he held a position with Hyatt Hotel’s as Group Sales Manager for the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza. He began his hotel sales career with Marriott International, in Chicago as part of their corporate sales training program which lead to his placement as a sales manager with the Marriott Minneapolis. Prior to his time in the U.S. he grew his knowledge of hotels through operational experience with Le Meridien International at Forte Village Resort in Sardinia, Italy and Le Meridien Brussels in Belgium.

Fluent in Italian and French, Mr. Mazzini has been an active member in MPI, toastmasters, and local chambers of commerce. A graduate of Tulane University, Mazzini attended Cornell University Professional Development Program in 2005 to further his hotelier knowledge. He currently resides in Park City, Utah, with his fiancé and two dogs, where he spends his leisure time enjoying all that the outdoors has to offer.

Mat Baer

Sales Manager

Mat Baer is the Sales Manager for Montage Deer Valley, where he assists with groups, businesses and associations based in Utah. Mat joined Montage Deer Valley in 2011 as the Conference Services Manager where his efforts led to numerous successful programs. With his ability to exceed the standards of meeting planners and event attendees alike, Mat brought groups back for repeated business time and time again. In early 2014, Mat switched to his current position as Sales Manager.

Prior to joining Montage Deer Valley, Mat served as Conference Sales Manager and Banquet Manager at Zermatt Resorts and Homestead Resorts in Midway, UT. His well-rounded background also includes executive positions in sales and business development for various enterprises, during which time he was awarded multiple certificates as a top sales producer. Mat has also been a public addressee and on-camera announcer for various sporting activities, including USSA/World Cup Freestyle Skiing and Salt Lake Golden Eagles Hockey.

Mat attended Snow College in Ephraim, Utah, where he played football. He also attended Salt Lake Community College and the University of Utah.

In his leisure time, Mat enjoys participating in sports, including skiing, the PCHL (Park City Hockey League), golf, fly fishing and camping. He is also a member of the Montage Deer Valley softball and volleyball teams.

Sarah Aures

Social Catering and Private Dining Manager

Sarah Aures is passionate about creating extraordinary and memorable events at Montage Deer Valley. Joining the team in 2014, Sarah has enjoyed being the primary point of contact for clients planning everything from romantic wedding receptions to gala Sundance movie premieres. She is especially proud to be able to offer a pristine resort setting with tremendous versatility in terms of event size and venue. “Montage Deer Valley is unmatched in its ability to provide a unique setting that matches the tone, the intention and the budget of clients from around the world.”

Sarah was previously Social Catering Manager at Stein Eriksen Lodge in Deer Valley and spent two years as Food & Beverage Manager at Promontory Ranch Club, one of Park City’s preeminent golf resorts. Prior to her relocation to Utah, Sarah was Maitre D’ of Lautrec Restaurant and Food and Beverage Supervisor of Falling Rock Hotel and the Nemacolin Woodlands Resort and Spa in Pennsylvania, both five-star/five-diamond properties.

She is a graduate of Niagara University with a Bachelor of Arts in Hotel Restaurant Management and in her free time enjoys hiking, golfing and skiing Park City.

Terri Hill

Leisure Sales Manager

Terri Hill serves as Travel Industry Sales Manager for Montage Deer Valley, supporting the leisure sales team with a focus on the West Coast and Southwest markets.

Prior to relocating to Park City, Terri served as Guest Relations Manager at both Montage Laguna Beach and Montage Beverly Hills where she acquired a solid understanding of the luxury travel market and built strong relationships with high end travel agents.

A native of southern California, Terri now calls Park City home. In her leisure time she enjoys spending time outdoors with family and taking advantage of the Park City lifestyle.
