Montage Big Sky sets the stage for truly memorable family moments and multigenerational retreats, inviting guests of all ages to discover the natural wonders and experiences of the Mountain West.

Paintbox

Montage Big Sky invites children 5-12 to expand their horizons with our signature Paintbox program. Available in half- or full-day sessions, Paintbox features locally inspired arts and crafts, engaging group games and outdoor recreation activities under the bright Montana sun.

Children’s Night Out

While parents enjoy an evening to themselves, our signature Paintbox program will provide care and entertainment for the youngest members of the family. Their night of fun and games features craft projects, a movie screening, popcorn and a delicious dinner selection from our onsite restaurant.

Compass Explorers

Paintbox attendants will get children ready and excited for their big day on the slopes. They will gear up your Explorer with skis or snowboard, boots and snow gear and will personally accompany your Explorer to and from Montage Big Sky and Big Sky Resort’s Mountain Sports Schools. Available to resort guests ages 4-12 years old who have morning or afternoon group ski or snowboarding lessons at Big Sky Resort. Reservations are required.

Montage Merits

Young guests can elevate each of their Big Sky adventures during their stay with our interactive Montage Merits program. Children will earn a variety of different badges for taking part in the region’s signature experiences, along with a special pin commemorating their visit after earning each badge.

With our shared commitment to providing guests with exceptional service, we are proud to feature UPPAbaby® as the official Stroller and Playard Partner. No matter where a day in Big Sky country takes you, we invite your family to end the day together by gathering around the fire for mountain memories. Our nightly s’mores program is a Montage Big Sky specialty, where children and adults alike gaze up at the stars while enjoying well-earned sweet treats.

Family Entertainment

Families staying at Montage Big Sky can gather for nature-inspired activities year-round, such as family yoga, guided nature hikes and fly-casting lessons, as well as endless adventure at Big Sky Resort and Yellowstone National Park. Nightly s’mores around the fire pit are a Montage specialty in every season. For a change of pace, take family night indoors and bond over darts, bowling and arcade games at Beartooth Pub & Rec.
