The Chef’s Table in Your Residence

A Private Culinary Experience

Experience our newly launched “The Chef’s Table in Your Residence” program. Chef Riko Bartolome returns to Montage Kapalua Bay to lead guests through private culinary experiences. Guests can choose to have a fine dining evening, complete with fully customizable degustation style menus with live music and wine pairings or an open bar in the comfort of their residence, or enlist Chef Riko to demonstrate a heritage cooking class (ages 12 and over), where he will teach guests how to make some of Hawaii’s most beloved dishes.

Chef Riko, who will lead each experience, is also available to craft curated menus and experiences for any occasion in the comfort of guests’ in-residence kitchen. He originally joined Montage Kapalua Bay in spring 2014 and served as opening executive chef. As an award-winning professional, Chef Riko has traveled the US representing the James Beard House and as the face of Maui at several events. Renowned for his signature Asian-fusion style, he brings over 30 years of culinary experience to his new position as In-Residence Chef.

In-Residence Lūʻau

An Intimate Lūʻau Experience

Let the island rhythms and swaying dancers of this intimate lūʻau whisk you to another time. From the comfort and privacy of your Montage Kapalua Bay residence, celebrate one of Hawaiʻi’s most revered traditions – with your own ʻAha ʻĀina Lūʻau. The story of the people of Polynesia is told through traditional elements of vibrant dance and island-style instrumentals. Feast on locally caught fish, poke, prawns, tender kalua pork, juicy tropical fruits and more. Treat your tastebuds with this modern interpretation of Hawaiian-inspired cuisine – served family-style – as you and your ʻohana (family) feast your senses on narratives of Hawaii and Tahiti, presented with aloha by local performers. So, “bring all together for the occasion” (Aha) – “come to eat, feast, sing, dance and enjoy each other” (ʻĀina) – with your own ʻAha ʻĀina Lūʻau.
