Family Hula Experience at Montage Kapalua Bay

Hula Lessons

For centuries the hula has been used to show respect and share the stories of Hawaiian deities. Through hula, dancers tell the stories of their heritage. In this class you will learn basic hip, foot and hand movements that accompany the words that describe the elements.

Lei of Aloha

Explore the rich history of the lei—a cherished symbol of Aloha. Join us as our Cultural Ambassador guides you in crafting a lei kui using the modern needle and thread method.

Ukulele Lessons

Discover the Hawaiian `ukulele, a gift that traces its roots to Portuguese influence. Join our class to learn how to hold, finger, and play basic chords on this beloved instrument.

Saturdays | 10:00am & 1:00pm

Lauhala Weaving

Must be age 11 and over to participate.

Create a beautiful keepsake bracelet using the leaf from a hala tree.
