Resort pool at Montage Kapalua Bay

Sunset Pool & Day Beds

Set amongst the tropical grounds of the resort and cascading over three levels down to the Pacific Ocean, the Sunset Pool provides the perfect aquatic playground for your Hawaii vacation. Unwind with signature tropical drinks and light island fare at the Hana Hou Bar. Whether you’re taking a refreshing dip, or relaxing in the Kapalua sun, the Sunset Pool is the ideal destination for drinks with friends and family.

Poolside daybeds are available to rent at $400 per day.

Daybed rental includes:

  • Chilled bottled water
  • Dedicated server
  • Two chaise lounges

Alternatively, the Beach Club also offers tropical drinks and light fare. Find relaxation in the infinity pool and whirlpool overlooking Kapalua Bay.

Tennis in Hawaii

Tennis & Pickleball

Take the Kapalua Resort Shuttle to the Kapalua Tennis courts. Located just minutes from the resort, play at one of the top tennis destinations in the world. With its viewing lanai, eight dedicated Plexipave tennis courts, two blended tennis/pickleball courts, and four dedicated pickleball courts, Kapalua Tennis is fun for the whole family. Equipment rentals are available.

Hiking in Hawaii

Hikes

Resort guests are invited to enjoy complimentary guided hikes. All ages are welcome; young guests ages 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Closed-toed shoes are recommended. Advance reservation required. For more information and reservations, please call Paintbox at (808) 662-6628.

Kapalua Coastal Trail

A guided hike along the Kapalua Coastline. Explore from the lava fields of Hawea Point to the turtle rich waters of Oneloa Beach.

Located just in front of our resort is a rocky point called Kuunaakaiole. Here you will find aquariums by the sea, filled with sealife.

Electric Mountain Bike Rentals

Monday – Saturday | 9:00am – 3:00pm

Our official bike partner is Scott. This means that guests have access to some of the finest bike equipment in the world. Kapalua Resort trails can be accessed directly from the doors of Montage Kapalua Bay.

Full-day rentals | $110 per guest (late fee $50)
A helmet and backpack are included.

Reservations are required 24 hours in advance for e-bike rentals.

For the safety of our guests, we request prior mountain biking experience before exploring the Kapalua Resort trails. Bikes are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Ali‘i Kula Lavender Farm
Make your way to Kula and visit the 13.5-acre farm, home to approximately 55,000 lavender plants and 45 different varieties of lavender. While lavender is not native to Maui, it has acclimated well to the majestic mountain slope with style and grace. Thriving in Kula’s Mediterranean climate, this locale is also rich in olive trees, hydrangea, protea, succulents and more.

Surfing Goat Dairy
Filled with fun and learning for the whole family! This dairy farm is one hour from the resort, on the slopes of Maui’s Haleakala Crater.

Maui Brewing Company
In 2005, they began their quest to brew handcrafted ales and lagers using the finest ingredients. Their brewpub sources as many local products as possible to ensure freshness; even the ketchup and mustard are house-made!

Ocean Vodka Organic Farm and Distillery
Situated on a breathtaking 80 acres on the slopes of Mount Haleakala, the home of Ocean Vodka captures panoramic views of both the north and south shores of Maui. It is easily reached from Maui’s international Kahului Airport. The tour includes a sampling with take-home souvenir OCEAN Organic Vodka shot glass for those 21 and over.
Guests must be able to walk 650 yards.

Maui’s Winery – Tedeschi Vineyards
In 1974,  the winery, in collaboration with Ulupalakua Ranch, began growing grapes, remaining true to the area’s agricultural heritage. Take the scenic 1.5-hour drive to the beautiful upcountry roads and taste the varied selection of wines, including sparkling, pineapple, grape and our coveted raspberry dessert wine.
