The Golf Course

The golf holes at Twin Dolphin Club are meant to pay tribute to the land, showcasing all that it offers in a way that makes the golf course unique unto itself. The golf routing strives to integrate and preserve natural features such as rock outcroppings, mature flora, and landforms such as arroyos and allows these features to form the character of the golf course.

Great care will be taken to preserve the features and low of these arroyos and other equally beautiful areas of the site so that their character can be integrated into the experience. It is in this way that the golf course can truly have a character all its own, by highlighting the special attributes of the land on which it sits. As such, elements of this land will remain much as they are for the enjoyment of the golfer.

Twin Dolphin Golf Course

Design

Defining Characteristics

The design pays homage to its environment and use of the natural site features, including ocean views, arroyos, large rock outcroppings, specimen trees and plant material, sensitive clearing approach, boxing of specimen trees, and protection of golf edges with existing native material.

Twin Dolphin Golf Course

Playability

Defining Characteristics

The golf course is designed in such a way that it is playable for all levels of golfers. We incorporate width of fairways and landing zones, limit forced carries from forward sets of tees, and have multiple sets of tees.

Twin Dolphin Golf Course

Course Conditioning

Defining Characteristics

A state-of-the-art maintenance facility ensures the quality of the product and golf maintenance industry experts guide the golf course into the future. Special attention to detail is paid to mowing patterns for an improved aesthetic look with mostly fairway height of cut for increased playability.

Twin Dolphin Golf Course

Environmental Consciousness

Defining Characteristics

The golf course was developed with the utmost great respect for the land. Rather than mass-grading and re-planting of landscaped areas after the course was built, the golf course was graded from the center lines out to the perimeter of each golf hole, leaving the surrounding native landscaping intact. In addition, all golf and landscape irrigation utilizes single-pass, non-potable water from our onsite desalination and reverse osmosis facility.
