April Well Living
Honoring the EarthWell Living is a celebration of the diversity of life and the people and connections that make our lives full. In April, we will focus on honoring the Earth.
Here at Palmetto Bluff, it’s easy to see what an incredible gift we have in the land and waters of the Lowcountry. It is important for us to continue to appreciate and learn about all that exists within our environment and how we can ensure its health for many generations to come. Our connection with nature is a mutually beneficial relationship. The love we give to the earth comes back to us many times over.
Below is an overview of our 2023 programming to provide you with insights into what we have in store for 2024. For additional information, please contact our Experience Planners for more extensive details on the month-long schedule of events.

April Oyster Recycling Kick-off
According to the Coastal Conservation League, only 10% of our local oyster shells get recycled back into our waterways. Why does this matter? Our baby oysters need shells to adhere to for their growth. This means that our oyster population growth is limited by the amount of oyster shells available in the waterways. Our culinary and service team have committed to an ongoing recycling program that will bring 100% of our oyster shells back into the May River for continuing the oyster population.
