Honoring Black Heritage & Valentine’s Day Traditions

The Lowcountry region is enriched by its Black heritage, which deeply influences our culinary traditions and art. Throughout February, we present a diverse range of art and culinary programs that showcase the vibrant cultural tapestry contributing to our community. We also look to foster love in the month of February through shared experiences and meaningful connections with one another. The diversity of life and love are integral parts to Well Living.

Reserve using our Experience Well Living offer and receive a $250 per stay spa credit, complimentary nightly valet parking, a daily breakfast credit and a custom Well Living welcome amenity.

Well Living: Cocktail for Charity
Hush, River House and Octagon
During the month of February, our mixologists at Hush, River House and Octagon will craft a custom cocktail with proceeds going to benefit CODA, Citizens Opposed to Domestic Abuse.

About CODA
The mission of CODA is to prevent domestic violence, which can come in many forms. There are many programs available through CODA including a shelter program, a 24×7 crisis hotline staffed by full-time paid staff, individual and group counseling, support groups, a legal advocacy program, with a lawyer on staff and a community education program.

Sallie Ann is a sixth-generation Gullah born on Daufuskie Island in South Carolina and has dedicated her life to chronicling and sharing Gullah recipes, dialect, and folklore. Author of three cookbooks, Sallie Ann will share with you a little history and good food.
